Digital Learning Designer (level 5) Apprenticeship - Cogent Skills
To work collaboratively with tutors and subject matter experts (SMEs), particularly in science and mechanical disciplines, to develop high-quality, visually engaging, and pedagogically sound lesson materials in PowerPoint and SCORM file formats. This role supports online tutors by enhancing the learner experience through professionally designing their teaching resources (there is no teaching required as part of this role). This role will design and develop a range of products such as online courses, distance learning materials, interactive media and virtual simulations to address a wide range of educational and business needs. This role is key to developing our virtual learning environment platform and opening up opportunities for us to launch our qualifications as distance learning products to a wider market.

Salary - £22,000 - 23,000 per annum

Key Accountabilities:
Candidate Requirements
Essential
Strong computer based skills for creating digital content (image creation and modification, video editing and generation, producing PowerPoint Slides, working with various files types and media types).
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint (including used of master slides, animations, layouts.)
Ability to create and manipulate educational imagery and infographics.
Strong attention to detail, and high levels of literacy (spelling, puncuation and grammar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret curriculum specifications and learning outcomes into structured lesson content.
Desirable
Experience in working to a brief (instructional design), educational resource development or a related field.
Experience around STEM subjects, education or instructional design.
Experience working in an educational setting, training organisation or apprenticeship provider.
Familiarity with online learning platforms (eg Teams, SCORM content)
